Qualifications & Skills: · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. · Minimum 10 years of experience in data operations, infrastructure support, or DevOps within enterprise environments. · Strong expertise in cloud operations, particularly with Microsoft Azure and Alibaba Cloud. · Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Azure Monitor, Grafana, and ELK stack. · Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash). · Solid understanding of data platform components, including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Kubernetes. · Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, incident and change management processes. · Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. · Ability to work independently and manage multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced environment. · Experience in the insurance and/or financial services industry is a plus. · Relevant certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, DevOps Engineer Expert, or ITIL Foundation are highly desirable.

Overview: Join the Asia Data Office as a Senior Data Operations Engineer, where you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and operational integrity of our data platforms across the region. This role is ideal for experienced professionals with a strong background in data operations, production support, and cloud-based infrastructure. You will play a key role in managing day-to-day operations, monitoring systems, resolving incidents, and driving continuous improvements in data platform stability and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Production Support & Incident Management · Lead and coordinate incident response for data platform issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business impact. · Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. · Maintain runbooks and escalation procedures for effective incident handling. Deployment & Environment Management · Manage and support deployment of data platform components across development, staging, and production environments. · Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth release cycles and environment consistency. · Implement and maintain automation for deployment and rollback processes using CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps. Monitoring & Performance Management · Design and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively detect and address performance bottlenecks and failures. · Utilize tools such as Azure Monitor, Grafana, and Log Analytics to track system health and performance metrics. · Continuously optimize resource usage and cost efficiency across cloud environments. Operational Excellence & Process Improvement · Drive improvements in operational processes, including incident response, change management, and service request handling. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement automation opportunities that enhance operational efficiency. · Ensure adherence to ITIL and service management best practices. Security & Compliance · Enforce data security policies and access controls across data platforms. · Support audit and compliance activities by maintaining accurate operational documentation and logs. · Ensure data handling practices align with regulatory and internal governance requirements. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement · Partner with data engineers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to support operational needs and service delivery. · Provide guidance and mentorship to junior operations engineers, fostering a culture of reliability and accountability. · Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding system status, incidents, and improvements. Documentation & Reporting · Maintain detailed documentation of operational procedures, configurations, and incident reports. · Provide regular updates to leadership on system performance, incident trends, and operational KPIs.
